The Sun Life Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships is one of Hong Kong’s most iconic and vibrant sporting events, drawing thousands of paddlers and spectators to the coastal waters of Stanley. Sun Life, as the title sponsor, needed a high-energy event highlight video that captured not only the fierce competition and cultural heritage of the races but also the premium, exclusive experience provided to their VIP guests aboard a luxury viewing yacht.
For this project, the Studioonstage team deployed a comprehensive, multi-camera setup. We heavily utilized dynamic drone cinematography to capture breathtaking aerial views of the dragon boats slicing through the water, showcasing the sheer scale and competitive spirit of the races. Simultaneously, our ground and boat crews focused on the vibrant human element—from the roaring crowds on the beach to the sun-soaked, exclusive networking events aboard the Sun Life yacht. We captured candid moments of guests enjoying custom cocktails, interacting with the DJ, and engaging with creative photo booths, perfectly highlighting the brand’s premium hospitality.
The final edit features rapid, rhythm-driven pacing paired with an upbeat, modern soundtrack. By seamlessly intercutting the intense, synchronized action of the dragon boat rowers with the luxurious, relaxed atmosphere of the VIP yacht, we delivered a video that is both a thrilling sports highlight reel and a powerful piece of corporate brand storytelling.
I love this theme. Sometimes it’s difficult to work with some themes, because even if they are created with Elementor, you can’t edit all the things with Elementor. Is not the case of Bili. All is created with Elementor and you don’t need Elementor Pro. Definitely recommended.
